Animation is the art of giving life to
the inanimate.

That is what we do,

A product, an environment,

We put things in motion,

Case StudiesBehind the magic

Wonder all the Way

This project highlights Orbit Studio’s ability to turn complex technical constraints into a powerful visual experience.

Here, anamorphosis becomes a true storytelling tool: the content does not simply fill the screen, but interacts with the architecture, blurring the line between physical space and digital imagery.

Through this collaboration with Shinsegae, Orbit Studio reinforces its expertise in creating large-scale 3D content for public spaces, combining technical precision, attention to detail, and high-end visual craftsmanship.

Format
9366x2142 Anamorphic 3D content
Duration
Short film 3 min 30 seconds
Objective
To create an anamorphic, premium visual experience, visible from long distances in a highly competitive urban setting

Challenge

The main challenge was mastering perspective: the content had to be perfectly calibrated for a precise viewing point, while remaining readable and impactful for a constantly moving audience in a bright urban environment.
At the same time, the film needed to embody Shinsegae’s premium identity, balancing technological innovation with refined aesthetics, while conveying the warmth, magic, and emotional resonance of a Christmas experience.

Technique

The film was fully designed in 3D, using an anamorphic camera setup specifically calibrated to the geometry of the curved screen.
Each element was built in real volume to enhance depth perception and the illusion of content extending beyond the screen.

An iterative testing process was carried out throughout production to fine-tune perspective, scale, and timing, ensuring optimal on-site rendering.

The pipeline was optimized to maintain a seamless connection between artistic intent and LED display constraints.

Namito

This project explores a playful fusion of culture, art, and brand storytelling.

By placing the narrative in a space station and introducing Namito as a symbolic figure of the Year of the Rabbit, the film reinterprets Chinese New Year codes through a contemporary and imaginative lens. The collaboration with Lune Zhang brings an artistic dimension to the character, blending Franco-Chinese influences with subtle references to Japanese contemporary art.
Through this film, Orbit Studio demonstrates its ability to craft short-form animated stories that are culturally resonant, visually distinctive, and perfectly tailored for digital and social platforms.

Chinese New Year – Year of the Rabbit
Format
Social media film
Duration
30 seconds
Objective
To celebrate Chinese New Year through a visually distinctive and narrative-driven 3D film, designed for social engagement

Challenge

The challenge was to build a strong storytelling concept within a short 30-second format, combining symbolic elements of the Year of the Rabbit with a playful yet premium universe. The film needed to capture attention instantly, convey a clear narrative, and remain impactful across various social platforms.

At the same time, the project required blending brand storytelling with artistic collaboration, ensuring that the character design and visual world felt both unique and aligned with Mageline’s identity.

Technique

The film was fully produced in 3D, set within a stylized space station environment designed to enhance depth, rhythm, and visual clarity in a short-form format.

A custom character, Namito, was developed as the central figure of the story: a rabbit astronaut fabricating Mageline products in zero gravity. The character was designed by Franco-Chinese artist Lune Zhang, with visual references inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, notably through Namito’s red hair as a subtle artistic tribute.

Careful attention was given to animation pacing, framing, and transitions to ensure strong readability and engagement on social media feeds.

Parfums de Marly

This project transforms illustrated worlds into living paintings, blending animation with a strong artistic identity.
Inspired by the elegance and theatricality of 17th-century festivities, the film creates a dreamlike journey through surreal environments, balancing painterly aesthetics with contemporary animation techniques.

Specs

Campaign
Christmas 2023
Format
Social media film
Duration
30 seconds
Objective
Visual development based on illustrations by Benoit Aupoix

Challenge

The challenge was to translate Benoit Aupoix’s surreal illustrated style into a fully animated 3D film while preserving the handcrafted and poetic feel of his work.
His illustrations play with perspective, lighting, and visual distortion in ways that do not naturally exist in 3D space. We therefore had to constantly “cheat” camera angles, scale, and lighting to remain faithful to his visual language.
At the same time, the film needed to reflect the refined identity of Parfums de Marly and its strong connection to the Château de Marly.

Technique

The project started from four original illustrations by Benoit Aupoix, which became the foundation of the film.
Each scene was rebuilt in 3D while preserving the flat textures, stylized lighting, and surreal compositions of the original artworks. Instead of realistic depth, the focus was placed on recreating the visual perception of the paintings through distorted geometry and forced perspective.
The story unfolds through a series of animated tableaux inspired by 17th-century games and celebrations at the Château de Marly.

Christmas in Paris

This campaign plays with the boundary between reality and illusion, transforming an iconic Parisian landmark into a surprising Christmas moment.

By leveraging the FOOH format, the film creates a sense of immediacy and shareability, making the viewer question what is real while reinforcing Galénic’s presence in a subtle yet memorable way.

Objective
To create a short, high-impact digital moment promoting Galénic creams during the Christmas season

Challenge

The challenge was to create a believable FOOH experience by mimicking the codes of an amateur video, while seamlessly integrating a large-scale visual illusion into a real-world landmark. The content needed to feel spontaneous and authentic, yet remain visually precise and brand-safe.

Technique

The project was developed using a FOOH approach, starting with a live-action shoot of the Eiffel Tower filmed as if captured on a smartphone, embracing natural camera movement and real-world lighting.

The footage was then digitally altered in post-production, with carefully integrated 3D elements and compositing work to create the illusion of a large-scale Christmas intervention. Special attention was given to scale, perspective, lighting, and grain to ensure a seamless blend between reality and digital enhancement.

Flow with the Ginko

This project explores the intersection of luxury product storytelling and artistic animation.

Using a restrained red palette and fluid ink transitions, the film creates a poetic atmosphere where products emerge like moving paintings.

The blend of realism and abstraction results in a refined visual experience inspired by traditional Asian art while remaining contemporary and premium.

Specs

Distribution

Format
1920 x 1080
Duration
30 seconds

Challenge

The challenge was to find the right balance between highly realistic 3D products and expressive 2D ink animation, creating a visual language that felt both harmonious and natural.
The film needed to preserve Giorgio Armani’s premium identity while introducing a poetic aesthetic inspired by traditional Asian ink paintings and printmaking. Transitions between products also had to feel fluid and organic, with the spreading ink acting as both a visual effect and a storytelling element.

Technique

The film was created inside a monochromatic red cyclorama environment, where realistic 3D products interact with animated 2D ink elements inspired by traditional Japanese prints.
As the ink spreads across the screen, it reveals mountains, ginkgo leaves, and graphic textures while guiding the transition from one product to another. An ink rabbit, inspired by the Year of the Rabbit, acts as a visual guide throughout the film.
A key part of the workflow was the use of Blender, whose flexibility allowed us to seamlessly combine realistic rendering with stylized 2D animation techniques.
